“We had our kitchen designed and supplied recently by Functional Kitchens. We had approached four other suppliers for designs and quotes, but FK design and care in its response stood out straightaway. Emma worked really hard to produce a very beautiful and uniform design, which was not easy as the layout of our kitchen has a few columns against the wall. She had fantastic design ideas and a very clever way to make the best use of space without compromising the overall look and working within our budget. However, she never imposed her ideas and was happy to listen and review the design several times until we were totally happy with it. Alison was incredibly efficient in dealing with the administrative side, sourcing the information we needed to make decisions, adjusting delivery times to fit the building work and keeping us informed all the way though. Delivery was impeccable, and their promises about customer care were 100% accurate as they were very responsive if we needed to talk about or resolve any issues. “I wanted a white kitchen and chose Funktional as I liked the subtle drawer cut outs of one of their DOCA kitchens. I am an interior decorator and knew exactly what I wanted. I went to Vicky with all my plans and she was excellent at working with me to make sure everything we needed was fitted in – no detail was too much. DOCA custom made our island, a small low shelving unit with larder and a broom cupboard. These pieces were not inexpensive but worth it. Funktional worked well with our builders who made all the display shelving above the DOCA units. I would recommend Vicky and her team without hesitation. Thank you Funktional!”

I would highly recommend Funktional Kitchens. We just had a nightmare trying to find an integrated fridge freezer to fit the space of our old broken down one. We were so lucky when we finally discovered that Fisher and Paykel had the right one for us because Funktional Kitchens were able to supply it and Alison and the team were so helpful and efficient. Alison arranged for fitters to remove our old fridge and install the new one and it fits perfectly!

We renovated our kitchen last year. It was our first ever renovation and we had enquired with all the leading kitchen companies. We are very glad we went with Funktional Kitchens – Vicky and Alison had a very personal approach and seemed to really care about what we wanted. They also gave good recommendations based on their expertise when we got decision fatigue! They made the process straightforward, even aligning most of the installation to take place when we were on holiday to minimise disruption to us (we used their builder). We don’t have a huge space but the team worked with us to create a great design, respecting our budget.

Very happy with our kitchen including the new built in appliances. It is now our favourite room in the flat! Thanks team!

We are 8 years down the line with this company and our kitchen still looks amazing. The design service is great and the people are really helpful to deal with. Most importantly, they will still helped us with an unrelated problem 8 years later. Highly recommended.

I was looking for a company who had designers who have practice experience of using kitchen. I was so pleased to find Funktional Kitchens. 3 women designers who understood how a kitchen should work in practice. So happy with the end result. Some small hiccups along the way which were always sorted quickly. The kitchen did take a bit longer than I expected but it all came together in the end. The kitchen looks amazing & Alison & Emma made sure the end result was exactly what I asked for & more.

Couldn’t recommend highly enough ! Thank god I ran away from Wren kitchens before it was to late. Funktional kitchen not only gave me a MUCH better design and MUCH better quality it came in budget compared to a pushy robotic experience that I had previously experienced. I felt like Vicky and Alison actually had a interest in my opinions and desires and worked with me to create it within my budget !

So good we’ve used them twice

One of the hardest things about leaving our old house in East London was leaving our Funktional kitchen. It was a very popular feature when showing buyers round, still looking brand new despite being several years old.

So it was an easy decision to pick Funktional Kitchens again for our new house. The team came up with a fantastic design that maximised the space available and brought in all of the features that we had loved in our old house. The installation process was wonderfully simple (we used Funktional’s own builder), and we were guided through options to find a kitchen design that was beautifully sympathetic to our historic central London home.

We have now lived in our kitchen for a few months and only wish that we had gone ahead sooner. It looks superb and ‘Funktions’ so well. Favourite features are the custom height work services for tall people, the mirrored splash back and the beautiful bookcases that were crafted to hide a boiler that couldn’t be moved. Oh, and my hidden under the stairs laundry room. I am delighted that we went with Funktional again.

Funktional Kitchens has provided us with excellent service, and a beautiful new kitchen. They worked with us on the design of our kitchen using their software in the showroom, and they offered a good range of options for fittings and appliances. The scheduling of the work, delivery of goods and installation all kept to plan. Communication with them during the whole process was good, and they were quick to respond to our questions and concerns. The very few problems that arose were dealt with to our satisfaction. We were also pleased with the work of the person recommended by them to do the preparation for the dry fit. Overall, we are very happy with our kitchen and recommend them.

We had used Funktional in the past and decided to work with them again on our latest project- a kitchen and boot room (bar) refurb in a Norfolk barn conversion. Communication was clear, involved and bespoke throughout from design brief to completion. No detail was left overlooked and the team always remained a few steps ahead of us in our expectations; manoeuvring around manufacturing issues due to COVID expertly and with little fuss in striving to complete the entire project by Christmas (which they did!)

The finished kitchen is gorgeous, glossy and the installation guys were efficient and masterful! The additional bar area that we decided to put in is so bespoke and perfectly fitted that for such a tiny room, it comes in as one of our favourite rooms! We love both so much and our guests complimentary comments are enough to affirm to us that we chose the best guys for the job! x

Very pleased with the product and service we had from FK. We bought our kitchen (supply only) from them in late Autumn 20 and the build has just finished. Excellent product and the service from FK through design and build was great – responsive to queries and quick to resolve any issues. Would happily recommend them as a supplier.
